Selected, reinforced materials...

  • Grain leather
The finest leathers are created, combining suppleness, softness, resistance and longevity with this part of the skin located on the upper side of the epidermis, i.e. on the side of the hair. These leathers enable us to make gloves that protect against abrasion while retaining dexterity for all assembly work.
  • Split leather
We use this part of the hide, obtained by splitting thick leather into two sheets, to create our toughest gloves. Often rough, this leather can have the appearance of smooth leather when covered with a coating (without actually being smooth).

...to create the best PPE for your business.

Eric, a multi-skilled warehouseman/car mechanic, uses JLF Pro® gloves from the handling and assembly range.

In my job, as well as driving pallet trucks and trolleys, I regularly have to handle and transport all sorts of objects and materials that are potentially dangerous for my hands. Their rough surfaces can also have sharp edges, such as on wood, cardboard or scrap metal. I really have to be careful, because my hands can be quickly damaged by rubbing, cuts, splinters or snags. And then there are the heavy loads that damage the skin when you wear them.

Suffice to say that finding gloves that can protect me from all these risks, that are easy to handle and yet comfortable to wear, is not easy. Most of the ones I used were either too thin and therefore didn’t protect well, or too thick and I couldn’t handle anything precisely. And that’s not even mentioning the other unpleasant sensations when wearing them (my hand feeling ‘smothered’, damp, etc.).

I’ve been wearing JLF Pro gloves from the materials handling range for 3 or 4 years now and, frankly, I really like them. There’s a choice for different situations and different needs, and they’re really practical for everyday use.

My favourites? Tyrer gloves. The blue and white ones. The leather is just fantastic to wear. It’s supple, so I can move my fingers around easily and still get good protection, unlike other gloves which often have very thick, hard leather. I really appreciate this feeling: I feel my hands are quite free in these gloves, they ‘breathe’, there’s air. I find that I can do so many things with these gloves, my fingers are agile, I can grab and carry all sorts of objects easily. I know they’re made for handling, but I can’t resist using them for other purposes. I’ll tell you what, I think they’re so good that I’ve managed to get a pair for my house too!
